You had, your own admission, this computer since august 2007, almost AN ENTIRE YEAR. After plugging in the computer, you would have realized there was no virus protection. You really think that this is a ripoff? The fact that Aaron's leased you a computer and you broke it? It appears to me, if anything, Aaron's would have every right to file a ripoff a report against YOU. You took THEIR computer, got a virus, and now state that you will not continue to pay for the computer, that YOU broke. You wouldn't have needed a tech to fix the computer if you had simply installed some inexpensive antivirus software. There are even several anti virus software available for FREE online, but you couldn't be bothered. Its called personal responsibilty. I really hope they take legal action against you and make you pay for the computer you broke. The fact that you are 64 only states to anyone who reads this that you are OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER.

You really have to read the fine print and listen to the sales person who is helping you and ask questions. Being the customer all of the pertinent info should have been given to you without you having to ask. My suggestion is since you are not getting any help at the store level take it to CORPORATE AND BUG THEM UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE. tHANKS FOR THE INFO i WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT TO ASK IF THE PC HAD VIRUS PROTECTION BECAUSE ALL THE PC'S i HAVE RENTED CAME WITH ALL SOFTWARE, YOU WOULD HAVE TO PURCHASE IT ONCE YOU WERE DONE PAYING FOR THE PC WHILE YOU R RENTING THAT PC AARON'S SHOUL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS IF THIS IS HOW YOUR CONTRACT READS

Are you serious? You really expect Aarons to install and maintain virus software for you? Do you really want the Aarons Product technicians to come into your house everytime a new update to the program is released? That is beyond asinine. All you have to do is download a free virus program such as AVG or Avast Antivirus, install and run as directed. Problem solved!
