I sent a money order for$ 147.50 to 6th planet used saturn parts Inc. . But now is called 6th planet used parts inc. For a cruse control kit for my 1999 saturn sc2 .When i recieved it on the 27th of dec. 2001 the strap that conects the CC. to the throdle was visibley broken half way up it.

I emailed them abuut the problem,they emailed back stateing that i was a nastey, bitter, Dickhead,and to send it back and upon their inspection they would exchange it.But no refunds. So i mailed it back exactly the way i got it, and a letter apologeseing if there was any misunderstanding.

I got the same parts back from them by mail except this time the CC. box with the strap that conects to the throdle linkege was cut at the base of the CC box.And they sent me a letter saying that they cannot refund my money because it was In their opion shiped undamaged and they think now it was damaged during instlation alegedly and it was not damaged during shiping. And they would sell me another CC box for $75.00 . My grilfriend then emailed them about it, To get a response saying that I was A lier and she was trying to imbesle them and her creitabllty stinks!

as a sidenote, we ARE NOT PAYING members of the bbb, we have earned our perfect rating by answering any questions and proving if we were not at fault with them, but yes, I also agree that the bbb will try and force you to pay them and become a member, my companys bbb reports will not be diluted by being a paying member, we have EARNED it, we are also governed by the florida consumers affairs division which, unlike the bbb they CANNOT be paid or bought out to side with a company, thanks! Clear case of customer mis-installation damage.

Hi there,
My name is Joe Cutrone and I own 6th planet auto parts.

first,t he customer is a liar and his credibilty stinks right from the get go.

we did not call him vulgar names until after they directed very strong language at us AFTER we re-inspected the parts and informed him that this was not the way we had packaged it.

they left out many details such as not reporting "claimed shipping damage" that they said AFTER we told them it was inspected when it left, also further reducing their credibilty is it was signed for intact and it wasnt until at least a full month later they even attmepted to report this to my company.

when we ship certain items, Like the cruise units, shifter cables, mirrors, these are items damaged frequently due to mis-install's or customers lack of knowledge.

because we have seen this (we have been in the used parts business since 1989 without ONE bbb complaint), we invited this consumer to follow through with the bbb but knowing full well they take all things into consideration this client choose to post here in attempt to further slander us where he thought we would not see it, we are governed by the bbb and would GLADLY send them any info including all their discrpenancies at any time they request.

again, because we have been in this business a long time selct items that are easily damged by mi-installation we do sevral things to ensure the part is intact when it leaves our facilty.

first, shifter cables and cruise units we TAPE the plastic ends and grommets, not only does this ensure they dont fall out it give me, the owner a second time to visually inspect the ends (obviously when I pull them off I inspect them too) and to double check myself.

with mirrors because they have plastic bolt holes customers commonly overtighten them and crack them, so we first, take all 3 nuts and hand turn them onto the mirrors, then I take a yellow marking pencil and mark each end, AGAIN, insuring I double check my own products.

this man left out many details and emails which I have I would request that this be taken down as this is not a company that burned a consumer but rather a consumer that damaged a part while attempting to install that is trying to damage my good reputation.

I have over 3 dozen of these units in STOCK at any given time,we have a perfect BBB and florida consumer affairs records. we would not risk our reputation over a 150.00 item but when we KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt that the consumer was who broke it we will not be threatened into refunding something they broke.

I can be reached at any time and would be happy to dicuss, we have HUNDREDS of happy clinets as refrences in canada and even when a mistake or an exchange is needed my comapny always steps right up to the plate. this was not the case with this man as he clearly tried to defraud my company in a attmept to gain naothe rpart to try to learn how to install cruise control inot his car instead of having a licensed legal mechanic do it.

This is a clear rip off,and burn. A company that has made a mistake and is trying to pass it to me, thinking the little consumer will gust blow it off or not take the time to hassele with it! This is not right, Ive done nothing but spend hard earned money for a auto part that came originally broken, and came back the second time broken worst and unuseabale. TO top thet off get called a lier and obseine names on the internet.Then they insult me even more by trying to sell me another one for $75.00 ! I am out $155.50 and have something thats worthless! Something should be done!
