Please be beware of the dealer named CarNation Direct" They sold me a vehicle a few months back. It was an older Saturn. I wanted an older car for a little while before I bought a new one but they conveniently forgot to mention that the vehicle they are selling me, it's a vehicle whose parts if something goes wrong are not to be found and exactly that happened. The charged me a fortune for a 2008 car citing supply issues. The car started practically disintegrating and here after 8-9 months the car is in such a bad shape. First the shockers got cracked and due to that then the the alignment got shot. I did not hit anything but still I thought I will get the car aligned. When I took the vehicle to Canadian Tire for that, I was told that shocker and the strut assembly is damaged on BOTH ends. Even after all this I thought I will get it repaired. Now the hunt for parts started and after trying to find the required parts for more than a week and all through North America we gave up. The parts were nowhere to be found.

I thought of going to the place I bought the vehicle to complain and met the manager named Dominic. Instead of resolving the problem he started complaining about the lack of availability of Advil for his kids. Advil will come but the parts are no where and have no hope. He sent me the Unique Crysler to talk with the service manager but I don't know if he tried or not but after 2-3 days, I was told that they are not available. I came to know that Car Nation is a part of Unique Chrysler, I would not have ever entered in there. I should have known that when they sell the vehicle they are sweet like honey and later if something happens or u complain about something you are insulted. Leading this insult bandwagon is their General manager "Mike Carobelli".

I should have known if the person on the top is like this then what to expect of other people. They treat you as if you are a begger asking for alms once they are done with selling the car. Then they say they value a customer which is a laughable statement. In this day and age of competition your customer service separates you from the rest but I guess Unique missed that bus. I would request Chrysler Chrysler Canada to conduct some classes the teach them especially the upper management some basic rules of providing good customer service which they are seriously lagging that is if Chrysler cares about it's reputation and who represents them in selling their cars as it looks bad on them as well.

As I said these guys are different when you buy and something else later. After 2-3 days of buying the vehicle I complained about excessive noise coming out of exhaust. It was determined there was a fault in the exhaust system. I had to fight so hard to get these people to get it repaired and they told me that I am thinking I bought a new vehicle instead of old. I knew very well that I bought an older vehicle but still after 3 days of buying if I find something wrong with the vehicle then it is their responsibility not mine as I did not poke holes in the exhaust system and there was already a problem.

The mistake is mine only as I did not find out that they are a sister concern of Unique Chrysler. If I had known then I would not have set a foot in there where I had to spend a fortune as they are taking advantage of people selling shitty cars at sky high prices and which do start disintegrating in a few months and they also very conveniently don't bother to mention that I might not find the spare parts later. They are in this field of selling cars and not me.

But what else I could have expected. People who insult their customers and don't know the abc of customer service. Running different promotions just to lure customers in are not important but giving excellent customer service is paramount which sadly is missing all together. Once a customer is lured in and vehicle sole then treat the customer if he complains like they are nothing but when the main organization is like that and the person namely "Mike" at the helm of affairs who mocks his customers, insults them then I should have expected the same from CarNation as well.

Horrible after services, horrible cars, selling junk as they were gold and on top of it fleecing the customers by not telling then the right situation. I guess these guys just want to sell cars and once the car is out then what happens to it is no ones concern.

So for your own peace of mind stay away from Car Nation and Unique Chrysler if you want your vehicle to perform well and nothing is hidden from you incase of an older vehicle and if you want that no one insults and mocks you and treat you badly instead of like a king which the customer is.

I guess they need to be taught the meaning of good customer service starting from the very basics but again if people like Mike are sitting at the top then the associates can treat people badly without the fear of any repercussions .

But again in a since a mistake is mine where I should have confirmed who owns Car Nation before going there and buying garbage for it's weight in gold. Paying top bucks for a shitty car.

Their motto should be " We sell shitty cars at sky high prices" and we are not below lying and fleecing customers and taking advantage of them and later treat them as one would treat a beggar.

I got fleeced but hope some people will take some learning from my experience and be beware and protect them from people who fleece and cheat unsuspecting people. Shame on them...

Dear John, First of all I will like to congratulate you for finding the struts and I am so very happy for you that you found tons of results. Both Canadian Tire and Unique Chrysler themselves should learn from you as both these people were unable to find them. So kudos to you. Secondly how free are you that you are trying to find stuff with which you have nothing to do with.

Well if you feel that I bought an As Is car then you might be right and I will inform unique chrysler that they should not lie to a customer as they told me a few times that it is not an as is car but a fully warranteed car.

I will ask them to contact you and issue an unconditional apology as you seem to know more what they sold me and what can be done with the car and what can't be done.

Yes, I did want to buy an older car but was not expecting both the struts and the shockers break after a few months. I was ready to foot the repair bill as well if something went wrong but as I said quite a few people including those people who deal with cars day and night were not able to find the parts but since you have found them I will make sure they also know about it and this way I can bring them too along with myself from under the rock.

Thanks for opening my eyes and I will make sure I get internet installed under the rock I live though it's kinda difficult as internet companies are reluctant to get under the rock and install something but I am sure once I give them your reference they will do the needful and install internet under the rock.

Oh I forgot to mention something. I am a computer engineer myself. So computers are my bread and butter but since you seem to be an expert at everything namely cars, internet, rocks so once again accept my mistake and issue an unconditional apology on behalf of myself, CT & Unique as well a bunch of us who were not able to find something which no one was able to find. I stand up and clap for you.

Struts for a 2008 Saturn?  I went to google and put in that specific search string and got tons of results of them in stock.  The parts ARE available nd can be had pretty quick.  You just gotta have an internet connection under your rock I guess.

Now, for the rest of your issue.  1.  You did buy the car As Is.  No dealer is going to warranty a 13/14 yr old car.  2.  You opened your post stating you purchased the car BECAUSE you wanted an OLDER car.  You got an older car and you got what all of us who enjoy older cars all get, a repair bill.  After 8-9 months, yes those struts broke from driving on normal North American roads.  3.  Your choice in a classic vehicle is very odd, unless there is something specific that makes you want a 2008 Saturn anything.  These cars were sold as disposable cars to people who wanted to feel special buying a disposable car.  Again, install internet under your rock and you'll learn a lot.

Hello my friend. Thanks for the insight. First of all i guess when it comes to cars I do live under the rock. Even if I didn't know about the car being discontinued I would expect the people who sold me the car to know about it as an expert and warn me about the same.

Secondly It was not an As Is vehicle. It was a fully tested vehicle as per them which should not have failed in 2-3 months of me buying it. Unfortunately I did pay a lot for the vehicle which is hurting me the most.

Lastly yes I can drive it with bad shocks and leaky exhaust but here also the shocks are not bad but cracked/broken and anytime can completely fail. So very dangerous to drive it.

My main issue is that the they as an expert should have told me that this could happen where I will not get any parts if something goes wrong.

People can say anything but I feel i have been ripped off by the agency by selling a bad vehicle at a high cost

Saturn was discontinued when GM went bankrupt in 2009. I have no idea how you did not know that. 14 years is longer than I would expect any GM vehicle to last unless it was exceptionally well treated. Hopefully you didn't pay much for it. Exhaust leaks and bad shocks don't happen in 3 days, the car must have been faulty when you test drove it, you just weren't paying attention and didn't have your mechanic inspect it. And no, they don't owe you anything even if the car self destructs 30 seconds after you sign the paperwork. AS IS means just that. I don't see any reason why you can't drive a car with bad shocks or an exhaust leak, so try to enjoy your vehicle while it still runs.
