I got one for you it’s called touchpay and it’s the private company that receives an inmates funds from county to state prisons I don’t know about how it is any place but multnomah county Portland Oregon and the phone support and interception redirecting and flat out hanging up on callers. If you have ever had a friend or loved one in jail the situation is dress for enough for bolth parties the one behind bars and the ones outside tying to help them in anyway possible by means of bail or commissary or phone calling cards.
The simplest of thins such a hair brush or a bar of soap is everything to them and when in my opinion unconstitutional system denies these in anyway shape or form for an accused not convicted person buy way of freezing an inmates account so no trans action can take place or not letting an American citizens be bailed out that the courts have granted them bail now the low down on how it is your loved one has a bail of let’s say $28,000 you go to bail them out now you are directed to touch pay where you have to set up an account which charges you for every transaction the most you can put on one trans action is $2300.
and the charge is $160 so you would think since the law of the land has put in writing the person can leave jail now if this amount is paid but you can’t reach the amount needed because the company touch pay won’t allow more then $9999 a day to be put on anyone’s account and at $2300 per deposit if you can reach the $9999 dollar mark the account is frozen for six days and you call customer service to get runaround and hung up on so you say I want my money back and they say ok but only $500 a month can a inmate release from their funds now you tell me is this constitutional I’m not a lawyer but I’m sure there is one out there that can feel the silenced population screamming for help as they watch thier mothers purse get stolen from touch pay bankers. I ask again is everybody afraid lets help those that are preyed upon while incarserated.

If you're doing it for someone it's not self bail. But just keep complaining and not doing anything to fix it. Your problem, not mine.

do me a favor pick someone from the inmate roster with a bail and follow the written instructions for self bail its right under commissary lets see what happens then ask a county employee for help with the self bail that can only be done through the kiosk machine or after setting up a touch pay account and getting a IVR number, which by the way to use the machine or online you give away your rights to sue them in any way or you cant use any system or product they own so wave your rights or your loved ones go with out funding for-the basic needs . let me know how it works for you.

According to the website www.courts.oregon.gov any bail for Multomah County is paid of the Sherrif's Office. NOT through Touch Pay. So my original comment still stands. You going about it the wrong way.

The state of Oregon does not use bail bondsman multnomah county uses touch pay kiosk basically a atm that from what I can tell from my own eyes is that there has never been any training done by the company touch pay prior to installation of said machines and services all county employees I interacted with were as confused and misinformed as myself and my attorney

Touchpay is used to establish accounts for people in jail to buy things. It is NOT used to pay bail. That is done through a bailsman or through the jail system. Not sure why you think the inmate needs access to the bail money in jail. That's not the way things work. So your complaint makes no sense.
