The Furniture Ranch Bedroom Furniture Flaws
We received new bedroom furniture in early January, 2000. Although the overall workmanship is quite good, the following uncorrected flaws still exist:
1. The nightstand has four scratches or minor dents on top drawer. This may have been caused by how the furniture was shipped: it was delivered haphazard on a pickup truck instead of a regular delivery truck most furniture companies use.
2. The armoire has shellac run marks near the top on right and left sides. The two large drawers also have run marks on top.
3. The armoire has two drawers (lower half of unit) that are rubbing against the lower drawers when opened. These drawers should, when opened, move smoothly and not rub against inderlying drawer frames. These will eventually wear if not corrected.
4. We asked the maker to make all six dresser drawers 6" deep. The drawers are actually closer to 4" deep. On his bill, he said he would make the drawers 2" deeper "than the standard 4" deep drawer".
This custom order was paid in full in early January.
We contacted the maker several times since then, and he not only refused to make corrections, but he doesn't want us to call him any more.
