Complaint Review: TACO BELL - St.Louis Missouri

first off,neither me nor my wife is racist in any way,any implied racism is on the part of the one manager,not taco bell nor any one else involved

my wife lost her job today (7-28-09)...shes worked at taco bell for 8 years...she never calls in sick & shes very rarely ever late...

she has been working at the page & ashby store in st.louis,MO for the last several years & she has recently gotten a new manager (brenda)who would constantly berate all the employees,loudly & even in front of customers,call them names,cuss them out etc etc...then she started going through & getting rid of every white employee in the store...until my wife was the last white employee...

my wife was suddenly not allowed any phone calls even though my wife rarely ever recieved phone calls but everyone else was still allowed to get them... my mother called up there with an emergency with our baby & was told no she couldnt speak to her,my mother asked if she could plz just leave a message & was told no then hung up on...when my wife asked her boss why,she was told "i dont have to deal with your familys problems"...ok

my wife was suddenly not allowed to have anything to eat or drink while at work even though everyone else was...ok

when my wife would come in on her days off to get her check or get something to eat,the new manager would go off on her in front of everyone for dressing like a s**t...T-shirts & shorts in summer is slutty? she was called a hoochie mama & a chicken head & asked if her husband knew she was dressed like that... uh,yeah,i was with her when she dressed herself & at the time i was outside waiting in the car...my wife is 38 years old & i fully trust her to dress herself

last week this new manager pushed my wife into a counter leaving a bruise on her back bigger than a quarter...after being told that she left a bruise she laughed & she slapped my wife in the back,then repeatedly pinched her...then later she snatched a drink from my wifes hands & threw it in the trash & told her to get her a** in front of the register or she was fired...ok

one day while waiting for my wife to get off work,she was constantly being kept late to do work for other employees while they stood around talking,a customer came in (a white woman)& stood at the counter waiting to have her order taken... the 2 managers were at the register talking,they completely

ignored the woman & never acknowledged her presence,till finally after 5 minutes or so she just turned & left while the 2 managers continued talking

this past saturday when i dropped my wife off at work,that manager was standing out in the parking lot just bullsh*tting with other employees,who were on the clock & supposed to be working,while this manager was not on the clock & not even working that day,she called my wife over & cussed her out in front of everyone for being late...my wife apologized & said as we were leaving to take her to work,the baby needed changed,he had a pooopy diaper & we didnt want him to have to sit in it the 1/2 hour drive to her work then another 1/2 hour home so we just hurried up & changed it...the manager says "i dont give a f*ck if your baby sits in sh*t"...after being cussed out for being late by a manager not on duty,when my wife went in to clock in she discovered she was 4 minutes late...if she was only 4 minutes late AFTER taking the time to be yelled at & cussed at,how late could she have been when i dropped her off?...surely not late enough to deserve to be talked to like that

i tried to call taco bell headquarters but corperate says that this store is a franchise store not a corperate store & so theres nothing they could do about it...so the past 2 days we have been going around to every other taco bell in our area trying to find one that needs workers so my wife can transfer...

today we went to my wifes work,on her day off,to pick up her pay check...i was just going to wait in the car with our baby & my 19 yr old son randy,but after 20 minutes of waiting it just got too hot so we went inside to wait,wondering what was taking so long

...apparently they were ignoring my wife,& not giving her check to her...after another 15 minutes or so of politely waiting,i heard the manager call my wife to the counter... next thing i hear is the manager telling her that she heard about her trying to transfer & if she tells any one anything bad about her she will BEAT,her A** & it will be her LAST day...i immediately went up there & told the woman she is NOT going to cuss & threaten my wife,shes 38 years old,shes a grown woman & she hasnt done any thing to deserve to get treated this way, we are just here to pick up her check,& instead of causing all this trouble in front of customers all she has to do is let us have her check & we'll be gone...i saw several other employees there with their checks so i knew they were in,but instead she told us to get the f*ck out of her store...i said when you pay my wife her check,we'll leave...so the manager called the police on us & told the police that the checks werent in yet & that we got belligerent over that & that WE threatened & cussed at HER...i pointed out to the police the other employees that had their checks so we know the checks are in,so then the manager says that its my wifes last check so they dont have to give it to her they will mail it instead,but when i proved to the officer that my wife had never been fired or quit & that it wasnt her last check,she in fact will still have another check coming,they finally forced her to give us the check...it was short of course,just like her last one...

she also not only tried to have me & my wife arrested but she also tried to have my son arrested,who had just came in & sat down with me & never said a word to any one ...

being the boss at a taco bell does not give you the authority to treat everyone else like sh*t...its like MOE may be the boss of LARRY & CURLY but hes still a stooge
