They charge $40 per hour. He gave the tutor $100 and expected $60 back and the tutor told him he did not have change. My son did not have a problem with this, as he has been going there every week for the past couple of months.
When the next week came, he told my son to pay another $40. My son reminded him of the week prior and he completely denied it and took advantage of my son thinking he's a kid and won't remember. I then went down to speak to him (the tutor and owner of the place) and he proceeded to tell me that he remembers now that my son gave him $100 but that I owed money from prior tutoring sessions.
I then pulled out receipts and I did not owe anything. The owner who also happens to be the tutor is a liar and he takes advantage of children. He is a scam artist. He started pulling out dates that my son was there, one of the dates I have proof we were out of town. He has done this in the past but I never saved my receipts.
Some of the parents told me to start saving my receipts and I'm glad I did because otherwise, I would have no knowledge of what he was saying, and I would have just paid it as I had in the past. If you go to this facility, make sure you save your receipts. They are horrible people who take advantage of kids and do not care who they hurt.
I explained to him my son worked all summer at a country club washing dishes and he works hard for his money... He then proceeded to tell me "I am an idiot for making my son pay for his own tutoring session." I explained to him that I would have gladly paid for it but my son wanted to feel responsible and he felt the need to pay for it... Long story short, he refused to pay me. But more importantly, they sleep at night knowing they scam hard working families. Shame on them! Bloomfield Hills MI,
