The expierence at first with Sleazys wasn't bad. I purchased a mattress, pillows, bed cover and adjustable frame for $6,500. This is a lot of money for a working widowed woman but I have difficulty sleeping so I was hoping the investment would pay off in the long run.

 

So, I ordered and paid for the mattress and frame. It was delivered on the date requested and set up but the pillows were coming in a different shipment. The bed was loaded the night before delivery so it sat in the truck in sub freezing temperatures. The mattress has a layer of gel in it that must have been frozen because I was directed by the delivery drivers to allow it to "thaw out" before I used the adjustable frame. Great...spend $ 6,500 and the bed needs to thaw out...

 

Anyway, by the end of the day the bed starts to emit an odor that is similar to a petroleum smell. Apparently the Temperpedic bed has a tendency to do that. Unfortunately I had an adverse reaction to the odor that was similar to an allergic attack. In any event, I called the store and said that they need to get this out of the house because of the allergic situation. They told me to stop in the store so I did. After learning that the Temperpedic emmits those types of fumes I wanted to get a replacement mattress that fit my needs. I selected a Sleeping Beauty Ariana mattress. I told the salesman that i didnt want to pay any more money for this mattress and that I wanted to cancel the order for the pillows. So, he took that as the money that I spent for the pillows, mattress and the new "delivery charge" would be an equal exchange for the new mattress. I never authorized this I trusted that he was doing what I requested but I was wrong.

 

That night I decided to look for pricing on the new Ariana Mattress that I purchased so I went directly to sleepys website. I got a price for $2,895 for the mattress with delivery included online. I looked at my sales reciept and was charged $ 3,699 plus a $99 delivery charge!!

I found out when my salesman was working and decided to go speak to him because after all, they have a Price Match Guarantee plus 20% off of that if you find it chepaer elsewhere. I sat with him and he refused to match the price or do anything about it. He said because I was already a "customer" from the first mattress that I couldn't get the price they were selling it for online!!! What?? That's a great way to treat someone after they just bought a $ 6,500 bed...Oh, and this is when I found out that he used the pillows as a credit towards the new bed because he had me trapped with the store credit for an exchange and basically made his own price up on the bed. I expressed my frustration and he said that his manager was in a meeting and that he would have to call me in 45 minutes. That was over two weeks ago and I recieved no call.

 

I called Sleazy's corporate and they treated me with the same disrespect and didnt get anywhere with them either.

 

I hope this story saves someone the trouble of getting ripped off at Sleazy's.

I also hope that someone at Sleazy's corporate reads this and realizes that is not how you treat a customer.

Thank you Sleazy's for ripping off a single income Widowed woman, I hope you get what you deserve in the end.
