809 Shipping 809 quoted the shipment of a trailer for 1800. They made a mistake and I declined. To pick it up, they demand a $600 parking fee never discussed. Miami Florida
809 shipping was contracted to send a trailer from NYC to Santo Domingo. Their door-to-door fee was $1800 and I drove the trailer from Washington DC to NYC and dropped it off. One month later, the owner contacted me and told me he wasn't able to accommodate the original quote and that it would run $2500 + taxes once it reached Santo Domingo. I declined. The amount was outside my budget. Now that I need to pickup the trailer, the owner tells me for the first time that the trailer is accruing a parking fee and that in order to pick it up, I must pay $600.00 to release it. I asked for the address of the location and he refuses. In addition, he raised the rate of another item I shipped from $450 to $650 and requires that be paid in full prior to picking up the trailer.
I'm asking for the $600 in parking + to pay the original $450 discussed for the 2nd item. A total of $800.00
