I got sucked into, more like coerced into, buying a timeshare at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. They lied to get me in the door, and they lied to get me to sign a LIFETIME contract, and they've lied every time I've called them. They gave me fake certificates when I signed up for free airfare, a free cruise, and a free vacation. They lied when they told me that I would get a deed after I paid off the timeshare. I have called numerous times asking for the deed, and all they do is give me the runaround. Every time.
I have sent certified letters demanding them to terminate my contract and all I got back was a letter telling me that wasn't possible. I had to sell it or give it away. Well, nobody wants to buy a timeshare that most of the reviews online are saying is a scam and to stay away!
After I sent the certified letters and didn't pay for my annual dues in Dec. 2020, they sent me to collections. But not for the original amount of my dues. They inflated the original amount and then added late fees on top of that. I am disputing these charges and will fight them as long as I can. I have even contacted an attorney.
These companies should never be allowed to lock someone in for a lifetime of dues payments that continue to go up every year. This is a scam and everyone should stop paying them!!
