In my eyes, this was a bait and switch scam.  In my life, I have had bad service, but this rotten place takes the cake. I placed an order through their app, which should have been simple. I went to get the food and when I got my receipt via email before I got there, I noticed that they charged me more, the order showed $11.37 while I was charged $12.28. The receipt also didn't have my entire order on it. The big reason I went was because of an offer of a free chicken sandwich through an app order.  If you spend $10 or more, you get a free chicken sandwich.  I clicked on the deal and I clicked on the other items I wanted.  When I went to checkout, it was all there.  So when I arrived I asked and sure enough, several things weren't there at the higher price. The manager was as useful as gum on the bottom of your shoe. He could care less. Literally laughed at me as I explained. I asked for a refund and he refused. He told me I had to contact the Popeyes app via phone as if that makes sense, but refused to give me a phone number. When I looked at the app, there was no number. I asked for a customer service number but he also refused. He was the absolute worst fast-food manager on this earth and I have dealt with a lot of them in my time and have no issue making that statement. I went on my phone, found the customer service number he refused to give me, and for the first time in my life, I called a corporation from a store I was at. While on the phone with them, the manager started yelling at me. I felt threatened. He refused to give me the food I ordered. He refused to refund me. In the end, I left without money or food with a promise that I would be refunded within 2-3 days. This did not happen. Today is day three and the refund did not come.  After another call to their customer swervice, they now are telling me they are investigating and have no time frame for a refund!  I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General of the State of Illinois, and at least half a dozen other consumer protection agencies and I am considering legal action for fraud against them. I spoke to an area manager the following day who said he would take action, reassured me I would be refunded and that this did not represent Popeyes but I felt he lied to me as well and my goal is to share this experience so all know what kind of corporation Popeyes is, how they operate, how little they care, and to avoid them like the plague. Companies cannot treat people like this. It should be impossible to get an order placed online wrong. This could have been resolved so easily at the time it happened but here we are three days later and they failed with the promised resolution.
