When you see this... immediately run away.

This is a Mom and Pop run organization; a company that you will want to avoid like the plague. Our furnace quit working and we needed a new Emerson 4702D Control Board. A quick search and we found one on Amazon. We ordered the board and Patrick's Supply sent out the wrong board... an Emerson 4702G (50M56U-801). The boards look almost identical, but I didn't want to install the board for fear of it burning up and I'd have to eat it.

I called Patrick's Supply and spoke with Pat, the owner and explained what happened. Pat told me that the 4702D was not a good number. I told him it was printed right on the board. He continued to be resistant, looking through his own documentation until I finally steered him to the web and there we found the manufacturer's number 50A56-956. Pat said... "I have 31 of those in stock." Since we had no heat, I asked Pat to please expedite the proper board to us; and please confirm the board number before you ship; he promised he would. Meanwhile I shipped the wrong board back to Patrick's Supply at my own expense.

Well he forgot to ship it and I finally had to call and talk to his wife Rene and she said she would ship it out. More days without heat went by and we finally received a package from Patrick's Supply. Pat didn't keep his word and confirm the board before shipping and subsequently the wrong board was shipped out again. We are still without heat.

 

This guy is a real low brow with a less than 6th grade education. The glaring syntax and spelling errors in his texts reflect that.

Here's a copy of the text.

 

Pat) Sent a board delivered on the 21st 50a56-956 and have full refund not sure what going on deal with a lot of people all day call me if you want to figure this out 

 

Mike) You sent out another 50M56U-801 (4702G). You told me you had 31 of the 50A56-956 (4702D) boards in stock. Also, you promised me you would confirm the board number, 4702D before you shipped. That didn't happen either. Did you subsequently send out the proper 4702D board? Or are you going to continue to leave us without heat? 

 

Pat) Go ahead and reorder! 

I'm not sending you a free board?

Pat) You got fully refunded please send back the incorrect board.   

 

Pat) not sure what you want me to do? 

 

Mike) I never asked for a free board, just the one you promised to send out, but apparently your word is no good.

I am in receipt of your label. The wrong package has been rewrapped. I will send it out Monday morning.

 

 

Pat) Ok yes my words No Good it has nothing to do with the thousand phone calls and 100s of emergencys just like your but they ordered the right part originally instead of guessing and there wasn't a nightmare afterwords blame me fine it makes you feel better marry Christmas

(My guess is that the thousands of telephone calls were made by people that ordered the right part were shipped the wrong part like me.

This guy is a real hot-head and about as uncompassionate as they come.

I gave him one star under duress.

There is no such thing as a minus 5 star rating. Maybe we should start one.
