NEVER RENT WITH PARABELLE EVER!!!! They have 2.4 stars out of 5 stars on Google. Almost all of the review says "avoid this company" and "worst management ever." We learned this the hard way. My girlfriend and I moved into a new 1 bedroom apartment with them, supposed to be our dream apartment (spacious, cozy, upscale area, etc.) And this what we moved into. See the photos attached.
Granted, Parabelle Properties did insist they would make it up to us by sending in professional cleaners to restore the apartment. But let me put it this way: Would you live in an apartment where you know a person was violently murdered? Most people never would. But why? The dead body is gone, the blood and guts are cleaned up. It's because of the mental trauma and psychological damage of knowing what used to be there. I wouldn't want to walk on floors when I know they were covered in blood and guts 1 month ago. I would never get that image out of my head. The same logic applies here. Who would live in a horrific, nightmarish, place like this. Especially when you're a MEGA CLEAN FREAK like us.
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
1) A wall outlet actually exploded before our eyes, sending sparks flying across the room. It left burn marks on the wall around the outlet. Mice have probably eaten away at the wires attached to the outlet. How do you know other outlets won't explode in the night and set fire to your furniture? It already exploded once. Photo taken as proof.
2) Dead cockroaches and bugs littered the floors. Along with piles of dust and dirt. Real piles of it. Photo taken as proof.
3) Anti-freeze was spilled on the living room floor, and a jerry can filled with gasoline of all things was in the kitchen. Yeah...
4) Lots of dirty dishes and rotting food left all over the kitchen. Food and food splatter was left long enough to get baked onto the counter tops, floors, and stove top. Photo taken as proof.
5) Piles of urine soaked rags. Yes, soaked in HUMAN RUINE were piled up in the closest and storage areas. Over 100 of them. A HUGE PILE. The smell was intense. Photo taken as proof.
6) Someone had been cooking drugs in the bathtub or doing some thing very nasty, because there were many chemicals, ingredients, instruments, tools, and a standing fan in the bathroom. Along with large amounts of rust colored dust. Call me crazy but those don't seem like the things people need to take a relaxing shower, shave, and brush their teeth. I can't say what happened in that bathroom, and quite frankly, I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW.
