Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Regina McKee is the owner of the non profit business of NSB Pirates Cheer and Dance. She has run this cheer gym here in florida for the past five or six years. In the last two and half years she has been evicted from two building we used for practices because she couldn't pay the rent. She was charging each athlete a monthly fee which should have covered her only expense of Rent. We were charged extra for uniforms, Competition fees, music, and tumbling classes. Not to mention the fundraisers that brought in even more money.

In 2019 when covid hit the season was canceled and we attended no competitions but were never reimburst for the competition fees we already paid. Most parents asked for a refund but never recieved any money back. In 2020 we paid again for uniforms, competition fees, and music. We ended up reusing music we had paid for in preivous years, so it was free. We ended up missing four competitions because uniforms were late. We were promised a package deal of practice wear and uniforms for $421. We only got the uniforms and they were two months late.

In 2021 she changed the Gym to All Stars and started charging $150 per month per athlete. She moved the gym into a new building. Luckily the moved costed her nothing since a parent and her family offered to use their semi truck to move the gym and spent days helping set it up. On January 21st she annouced to the teams that we were being evicted from the building again and would be practicing at a coaches house in the grass.

We had already paid for uniforms, comeptition fees, and music again. She refused to refund any money to the people who chose to leave since it was not safe for the kids or chose not to have their kids in someones residential yard to practice. She never gave anyone uniforms. We never went to a competition. We are again reusing music from previous years.

She has been using money from a non profit business to support her household and not the business. The gym has not gotten any new equiptment since 2018. Now she has no overhead to pay for yet she is still charging parents a monthly fee. She has ripped off over 40 families and the kids are heart broken. I would hate for this to happen to another family. As we were looking into Regina we found out she had a gym in Ohio back in 2015 and they had the same problems as we do here. That gym also shut down. Some of our athletes would have been amazing but now they have no where to cheer because parents are trying to recover money that should have been returned right away.

Uniforms and competitions ..the girls that remained did get new uniforms and we just finished with competitions. So to say they didn’t get uniforms or attend competitions is an error.

All the coaches have been doing an amazing job of keeping this team together for the season.
