National Home Employment Services overcharge scam rip off scam con artists Internet
On Tuesday, November 12, 2002, I responded to an ad posted by National Home Employment Services, for at home employment. I visited the company website, http://nhes.net, and filled out a thorough online application. I also chose to pay instantly over the Internet instead of mailing in a check. I entered an appropriate check number, and also entered my transit/routing number and my account number, all located at the bottom of the check.
I approved them to deduct $29.95 from my checking account. I was initially informed that upon the payment of the one time fee, I would receive a PRN number in a matter of days and would be able to begin my work from home immediately.
I was also informed that if I hadnt received at least ten job offers within seven days, my $29.95 fee would be fully refunded to me.
It has been 22 days since my initial contact with the company. I have not received a PRN number, a return phone call, and I discovered instead of deducting the approved $29.95, they deducted $39.95 from my account, without my authorization. I am currently trying to file a complaint with whatever company I can that oversees Internet companies.
I have also started the process of closing my account and opening a new one. This has taught me if something appears too good to be true, it is.
