Michael is a persistant caller offering mortgage leads.  He will offer you fresh mortgage leads that he promises will scrub, and tell you he gets these leads off of his Google Accounts.  He will tell you he is only looking to work with you and he's local.  The leads are bogus and dated.  He sent me 400 mortgage leads on Excel from 2018.  I don't think he realized you could open each lead and see the time stamp of the lead.

He will ask you to Zelle him for payment.  He asks for $2 a lead but if you are hesitant, he'll strike a deal and offer you an initial entry fee.  The usual scam.  Will give him credit for being a relentless caller.  I happened to be in another State with a former co-worker who he called so this is a nationwide scam.

While filing a review on these fraudsters may seem like a good idea, actions taken by scammers such as Mike need to be reported as this is wire fraud.  If you are not familiar of what consists of wire fraud,  Wire fraud is a type of fraud that involves the use of some form of telecommunications or the internet. These can include a phone call, a fax, email, a text, or social media messaging, among many other forms. Wire fraud is punishable by prison and/or fines.  Simply filing a review doesn't stop these people.

What to do if you have fallen for Michael Hauer scam or any others.  There are plenty.  It takes a group effort.
