Twelve years ago while living in WA State we had a severe snowstorm which took off all the gutters from our home.   We reinstalled new Leaf Guard rain gutters and never had another issue despite getting even more snowstorms.

Upon moving to Georgia, we had some issues with the regular builder installed gutters not working.   Due to the steep roof line and another roofline feeding into it, the gutters could not handle the water.   Since we had great success with Leaf Guard in WA we decided to put their brand gutters on the rear of our home in GA.

We agreed on a price of $4500 for the gutters.  Note however, Leaf Guards initial estimate was $6000 of which I said "no way".   The gutters were installed promptly and all seemed to be ok, until we had a hard down pour.   Once again the water overshot the gutters.   Leaf Guard's patented design did not work!

The company was called, and a crew came out to fix the gutters.   I was told by the crew that the people that installed the gutters did not know what they were doing and made several mistakes in the intial install and were recently fired.   The repair crew "fixed" the problem by cutting up the gutter so that it now appeared to be like a normal builder installed gutter.

So how is this now a "patented Leaf Guard filter"??   Keep in mind that these gutters are over 20 feet off the ground which prevents a senior citizen from getting on a ladder to see what repair was done.  The next hard down pour came it did not work.   Water over shot the gutter.

Recently we installed a metal roof.   The gutters had to be removed to install the roof and then reinstalled.  The metal roof has amplified the over flow issue.

I once again called Leaf Guard.   They want to charge me $150 for an initial visit to access the problem.   They claim taking the gutter down and putting it back, even though it was put back in the exact position voids the warranty.

Leaf Guard never tells you about taking a gutter down voiding a warranty.  Leaf Guard was never HONEST enough to say that with my roof pitch the gutters would not work.   I feel that Leaf Guard preys on seniors.  I should have been told from day one that with multiple roof lines running into one gutter that their product would not work.   Then Leaf Guard tries to correct an overflow issue by cutting up their gutter so it now looks like a normal gutter, and tells you that's normal procedure.   So, if a Leaf Guard gutter does not work, they will cut it up so it's like a normal gutter in order to make it work, despite the fact of what you paid for a Leaf Guard............????

From my experience in GA, run from this company.   They do not back their product and it DOES NOT work.
