Just Energy Dallas Tx 75265 Just energy was deceptive about billing a.k.a. Solar Net Metering and extended my to 2 year contract to 5 years Houston TX
I signed up approximately 12/22/2021 with Just Energy after a lengthy disscussion about their solar buy program and net metering. I have solar panels on my home and I was shopping for a company that had a buyback program and would only read the meter once per month. Just Energy's top level marketing support assured me that is how the plan worked, but said it would take several months before I would get credit for the energy I was generating from my rooftop solar panels. When I finally got a bill that was crediting me for the energy I was generating it was at the agreed price of 3 cents buyback and 8.5 cents for their energy. Here is the trick they used: They read the meter every 15 min, which means when the suns sets you are being billed at their 8.5 cents every night. This means that even though I generate 20% more energy than I use, I still have a $70 dollar average bill per month.
2) I just noticed on my 3/17/2023 bill they have increased my contract to expire in 12/22/2026 without my permission. Someone needs to start a Class Action Lawsuit.
This was not a low level person in the call center I was talking with, it was a senior level marketing person out of New York City. His name is Leo Herrera 346-426-6725. I am a 66 year old retired electrical engineer.
