My boyfriend David called the insulate omnipod corporation who keeps selling him pods that fail after he puts them on after 15 minutes and the main meter tells him the pod failed and to replace it. He only placed it on his body 15 minutes before it failed and tells him to redo it? What type of piece of crap is this medical device that they sell and rip off insurance companies for when it doesn't provide any help it only kills diabetics. He throws out 8- of the 10 pods per month that they are charging his insurance for and these pods fail and almost killed him a half dozen times. The federal government needs to investigate this company for selling diabetic life-saving necessity products that have a failure rate of 85% and are killing more diabetics (than the diesatronic insulin pump did and the Animus Johnson and Johnson insulin pump) well the omnipod is even worse than these two other former companies that are now out of business because of their failed product and more diabetics die because they sell products like the omnipod which is useless and do not function properly.
I called Omni Park direct and some person from India or Africa answer the phone they don't even have the United States Network to help patients in this country the person was arrogant and got nasty with my boyfriend who was on speakerphone and this lady should not be a representative of any company she was rude obnoxious and said we don't get involved with sending omnipods to patients that's up to the pharmacy but in America the pharmacies don't deal with omnipod because they said they will not be involved with a product that kills people because my boyfriend is sick in the hospital because their product insulate omnipod failed and I was there when he spoke to the product support and they told him they were going to mail him out the new pods for the ones that failed and they never did so he's been without the insulin pump and is not doing well but the company said they were going to send him new product for the ones that failed and they never did so they outride lie to him and are playing with his life. Any plan anybody that's a diabetic that's planning on going to omnipod think twice this product will kill you. When you have a product that has a failure rate of 85% I would not risk my life using it because I seen first hand how many times it's almost killed my boyfriend.

If the device had an 85% failure rate, it would have never been approved by the FDA. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist, you are most likely using it incorrectly and that is why it is failing. They can either prescribe a different device or can figure out what you are doing wrong.
