Received a gift of a hp photosmart 3310 all-in-one printer/fax/copier that cost my husband over $400. Xmas of 2005. It's the printer I use at home do it doesn't get that much use. The other day it gave me an error code and when I called the toll free phone # they told me that meant it was no good anymore. I then emailed them at the website and got a response very quickly with instructions on how to fix he problem. Needless to say they did not work and I emailed them back. They then admitted that nothing can fix it that it was a hardware problem. They then offered me money off towards a refurfished product. Why would I want another piece of crap. If there product only lasts 1 1/2 years that doesn't say much for the HP company. I asked for a pro-rated amount towards another product and they refused. I will not buy another HP product of any kind again.

To me a pro-rated amount was fair and they could have my printer back. My old $149. printer lasted over 8 years and never had a problem but it was an Epson. I guess we lost out on at least $400.
