I was recently given a voucher by a family member to try out HelloFresh meal delivery service. I gave it a shot, selected for the 3-day vegetarian plan, and was required to pay for shipping. After reading the terms I provided payment information to take care of the shipping charge. 

Upon reviewing my bank statement, a few days after receiving the trail offer, I am now being charged in full for a second delivery. I didn't authorize the second delivery and from my understanding on the terms I would be notified of any impending deliveries or charges. I spoke with cutomer service supervisor Anthony in an attempt to cancel this shipment/service and obtain a refund.

Anthony refused my request with company scripted jargon denials and insulted my intelligence at having not read the terms of the agreement. I remained polite throughout our exchange, although I can not say the same for Anthony. It was apparent he didn't care and it is apparent that this company is taking advantage of many, many people with auto-renewal scams on trial offers.

I continually asked to be allowed to speak with someone who would be willing to help me further rectify this unauthorized charge and he continued to repeat the scripted repsonse, seasoned with disdain for my issue. I do not want the second shipment and even though it hasn't even been shipped out he refused to refund the money and stop the shipment, although it is two days from leaving the HelloFresh facility.

He refused to allow me to speak with another associate who would be of more help on the matter. In short, I feel taken advantage of and stolen from. I should have been notified of any impending shipments/charges in a timely manner so that I could have refused this overvalued "service". I do not recommend HelloFresh.

Any business that relys on stealing from first time users under the guise of trial offers is not a healthy or sustainable business.
