The Forest Heights Homeowners Association (FHHOA) is nothing more than a shadowy shadow group of good-for-nothings who decide behind closed doors who gets to live in their "exclusive" neighborhood, which is to be fair located on the costliest real estate in the Portland Metro area. That said, many of the homes are falling apart from bad siding; the hilly, HOA streets are left deadly icy in winter; and the FHHOA "leadership" wastes everyone's time on petty, ridiculous matters that stretch the imagination as to their ability to exist within a sane and rational world. Although located just outside the beautiful wilds of Forest Park, the FHHOA oversees a strict regimen of undocumented workers who call themselves "landscapers" but are Monsanto hacks.

They regularly spray poisons like glyphosate and cause massive neighborhood air pollution (including sound pollution) with their unregulated, highly toxic and downright disgusting leaf blowers. They will literally run their machinery on rainy days, when no leaves can be blown anyway. Of course, they are charging the unsavvy homeowner for the pleasure of doing just that. Many of the FHHOA homeowners are unfortunately rather clueless in maintaining properties properly, hence the overall continuing degradation of the area. FHHOA resources are spent on superficial, unthinking matters to assert their "authoritah" (such as paint color tone)--even as the siding on many a home in the area continues to degrade. The developers used siding that was not meant to last the tests of time of the wet and harsh, windy climate that is Forest Heights! Alas, to be quite blunt about it, the FHHOA does quite well at diverting attention from bad work by the developer in favor of outrageous, punitive orders of "compliance" that completely lack any kind of coherence not to mind compassion.

For example, I know of an instance in which young boys who had just lost their mother and had a garden planted in her honor had a demented FHHOA compliance officer rip out this very garden because it did not meet standards according to his completely unsubstantiated and procedurally incorrect, mind you, opinion! This same compliance officer has been evidenced to nail FHHOA notices to front doors, thereby damaging the paint and wood; trespass on property to take illegal photographs; and target an FHHOA homeowner's small business out of pure spite by writing negative, fake reviews, even though he had nothing to do with this business. He went ballistic at homeowners who did not change over their mailboxes to the FHHOA standardized ones quickly enough, creating literal fear and anxiety in some.

Just WOW. This is not a treatise after all, so I must cease here with examples. Just one more, as it is especially incredulous and the unknowing buyer should indeed beware: after being told that their home looked too "Mexican" by the FHHOA, and also deceived as to the faulty siding on the home that they were purchasing, this dear family was unfairly prosecuted, home almost stolen from them, and almost jailed. They literally had to flee the police state that is Multnomah County and hide. I mean, really? You're asking? I mean, yes, I'd be asking that if I were you. It doesn't quite seem like we're living in a sane universe anymore, now does it. I'm almost fearful of telling you this, that you think I'm living in some kind of parallel universe. NOPE. I'm not. This s**t happened. Multnomah County is a police state and FHHOA is the mayor's pipeline to the brew they put together--what is right now clogging up the works of the city. I am telling you the truth, this happened. You have to see it to believe it. And I did. No, I cannot recommend the FHHOA. BUYER BEWARE.
