My home insurance policy with Farmer's Insurance Company went from $1,100 last year to $4,992 this year, a 500% cost increase.
I am a senior on a fixed income.
The policy gives no reason.
The company is picking and chosing who they cancel or raise rates for.
Wildfires are one reason online, however several friends who have Mountain homes were raised under $100.
I do not live in a forest.
I cannot afford this company and tring to find a reasonable carrier now with affordable rates is impossible.
In closing, I have NEVER filed a claim with any home insurance company.

That is a 354% increase, not 500%.
That should make you feel 146% better.
