We stayed in one of the Evolve properties in Buena Vista Colorado. We had a couple issues with the home we rented. We contacted the Evolve property management team and only received a response that they would notify owners of the home. It has been two weeks since our stay and after multiple attempts to make contact we have had no response since the initial contact.

 

The temperature in Colorado was very cold, we had issues with the heater which ruined our trip, we had to sleep on the couch in the living room which had a fireplace. The couches were small so next days had sore backs which ruined our time during the day doing our events. The local maintenance person did bring us a portable heater which was broken, we sent a video to evolve showing it was broken, the portable heater alarm kept going off every 3 minutes and turning the heat off.

 

The home had a washer and dryer but after doing a load of laundry the washer was broken and we had to wring out the wet clothes and travel 12 hrs home with wet clothes. We sent video of broken washer.

 

After talking to the local maintenance person we were told the owner knew the heater was broken, if the owner knew the heater was broken he should have fixed before renting a house out where it is very cold instead of being greedy and renting it out.

 

These were the points in our email sent to management team.

 

1. After finding out from Steve with the local management company that the heater in house was broken and scheduled to be fixed on the Wednesday of our stay, which was 3 nights after we arrived. 

 

2. The home should have never been rented out, it just shows greed from the owner not to miss out on money and we had to suffer for it.

 

3. I had to sleep on couch since it was so cold in bedroom. Which in turn made my back sore for activities in mountain during the day.

 

4. We departed Wednesday late afternoonand missed out on a nights stay because we did not want to suffer anymore.

 

5. We did our laundry before leaving and the washer broke, which made us have to wring out the clothes by hand and travel home with wet clothes.

 

I feel like we were led on and getting no contact from management team makes the whole ruined trip feel worse by being avoided now that they have their money.

 

They even have a policy in place but do not follow it.
