Complaint Review: Dynasty Shutters and Blinds AKA Florida Custom Shutters & Blinds - Sebastian FL

9-11-2021  Entered into contract with Dynasty Shutters & Window Treatments, salesperson "Jean".  He and his assistant "Jim" showed us sample product, measured 4 windows, and 1 French Patio door for new Plantation Shutters, and collected $1139.50 deposit.  Installation was quoted to be in 8-10 weeks, most likely 8.

Aprox week of Oct 10th, openings were remeasured by the "Installer"

11-8-2021  Spoke to Jessica McKenzie at Dynasty @ countless complaints with BBB and Facebook. Requested refund, she said it had to be in form of Email.  Sent Email.....never responded.

11-11-2021  Spoke again with Jessica, was informed they do not give refunds, and that our shutters were in fact being manufactured and she scheduled us for installation on 12-7-2021 between 10-11 AM.

12-7-2021  Called Jessica at 1:00 PM and was placed on HOLD for 30 minutes. Told her no one showed up today, and no notification was received.  She said they were waiting for "Hole Punches"?? which were supposed to have shown up 12-6-2021. Expect delivery today and will call me tomorrow to reschedule.

12-10-2021  The business phone answering machine no identifies company as "Custom Shutters & Blinds". Never heard back from Jessica, called office at 8:10 AM and spoke to Melissa. She said Jessica will be in at 9:00 and she will have her call me.   1:30 PM...Called for Jessica again, call was answered by unidentified male who stated she just left for lunch, and will not be back until 2:30.   1:35 PM...I called the sales office and spoke to Bill Shine. 

I pretended to be a new potential customer, and we discussed why they are no longer "Dynasty Shutters" and the extensive negative reviews on BBB and Facebook. I asked him what the wait time was for installation, and he replied 8-10 weeks.  When asked for my personal information, I identified myself, and told him I was one of those dissatisfied customers who has now waited 13 weeks, and have endured the lies, and stall tactics for about as long as I could stand. 

He put me on "HOLD" to contact Jessica (who was miraculously in the office...not out to lunch) and shortly returned to me that they were having troubles with Installers.  I told Mr Shine that I would immediately drive there to pick up my product, and install them myself.  I was informed that would "Void their Warranty" (for what that's worth), and that they were not available to be picked up today. We are at our wits end with the lies, deception, and stall tactics of this company, and have contacted our credit card company to reverse the charges on this apparent fraudulent company.  We are also preparing a complaint with the BBB.

We feel that at this point, they have breeched their contract with us, and have NO desire to continue to conduct business with them from here on.  They have also changed the company name, address and phone number.  It's now Florida Custom Shutters and Blinds, 100 Industrial Park Blvd Unit A-1 Sebastian, FL 32958  (772)400-9398.  The business license is still under Dynasty.  Document number L9000174265 FEI/EIN 84-2437505
