Dalton T. Martin Chief of the Kimball Police Department and Deputy Sheriff of Mcdowell county is under scrutiny after releasing a statement to the public on the morning of January 28, 2023. Martin to whom is undergoing a federal lawsuit for racially profiling African American residents of Mcdowell county went to FaceBook this past weekend on an emotional rant.

"Those I’ve encountered and there’s been a disagreement or the wrong outcome all I can do is apologize and hope for a better encounter". -Martin

Martin fiercely shows no shame in admitting having encountered people and admitting to wrong outcomes. Martin's resistance to elaborate on the subject "WRONG OUTCOMES" indicates Martin's omitting of details. Residents of Mcdowell county are concerned with Martin's wrong outcomes and hopes for better encounters. The residents of Mcdowell county need officers who will uphold the law while serving the public. Martin's reputation describes a cop with a bad attitude and residents must obey his every command or they will go to jail to be taught a lesson. Residents of Mcdowell county complain of being arrested for talking when told to shut up by Dalton T. Martin. Martin's passion to control interferes with his better judgment while on duty. Residents of Mcdowell county shall not be subjected to be bullied, intimidated, targeted, and fear any police officers falsifying charges against them. Martin's actions have been noted while employed by Bradshaw police department, Kimball police department, and Mcdowell county deputy sheriff's office while police status remains active. Martin's apology will never go as far as his actions because all he can do is apologize. Martin's portrayal of a real cop is an embarrassment to all law enforcement. Why? Good cops don't apologize for doing their job.

"My life mostly evolves around my job, it’s who I am .. it’s a part of me, and it’s something I enjoy. There are a lot of reasons why but mostly because it’s who I was inspired to be since I was a child". -Martin

Martin describes his job as a police officer as a job he would enjoy and a job with heavy inspirations from older men during his childhood years. Martin expressed in his post his childhood inspirations all have one thing in common, being a policeman. Martin describes his relationship with his resource officer who later helped him become a cop and his 5th-grade teacher who at the time was a West Virginia state trooper. Martin began to grieve the loss of Bob a retired Jacksonville police officer who was Martin's neighbor. Martin explains his inspiration to become a cop began at the early age of 9 emulating Bob's character so that Martin may follow in Bob's footsteps.

"He treated me as if I was his son" -Martin

It is no surprise Dalton T. Martin may have had some troubles growing up in his home. Martin never mentions his biological father as someone to be inspired by or even shows recognition for being a great dad. Martin's cry as a child is apparent Martin's childhood was imperfect and unhappy. Martin's gratitude towards Bob the neighbor is genuine love and heartfelt homage to a great man who gave Martin attention as a child.

"He was a true Christian man that went out of his way to make a young child’s day" -Martin

Martin's direct need to become a cop was by no surprise having a former Jacksonville police officer as his neighbor fill the role of dad. Martin's emotional rant on social media has brought to the attention of Martin's close friends and family who pampered Martin's post with love, support, and plenty of likes. Martin's life on social media poses the perfect dad and husband with bible quotes of Isaiah 6:8, John 15:13, and Isaiah 54:17. Martin's life on social media looks pretty legit to many residents but, some are asking the big question "Is Dalton T. Martin a dirty cop?" Dalton T. Martin's behavior as a police chief and deputy sheriff is not only foul and corrupt but, also compromises the integrity of law enforcement across America. As many have experienced and witnessed tragic deaths across the country and the battle to stop police corruption has yet to be accomplished. It is no surprise across the nation there are bad cops and bad people, and as criminals shall be judged, so shall bad cops.

"I wanted to make a dent in drugs in my community" -Martin

Many are concerned Martin's eagerness to make drug arrest are associated with stereotyping African Americans as being drug dealers. This concept of Martin's behavior was completely illustrated when Martin falsified an arrest on an African American family after Martin attempted to frame the family for marijuana plants that did not belong to the family. Martin's behavior towards residents of Mcdowell county is flat out dishonorable. Although Martin's behavior outlines being a racist cop with a badge who is over-emotional, Dalton T. Martin will not hesitate to falsify an arrest on any person who exercises their right to freedom of speech.
