clifford a technician came out and claimed the door that separated on my microwave (Samsung)was physical damage and was not covered under the extended warranty Rockwall TX
The piece that holds the microwave door together is made of plastic, (a poor design to say the least). separated and caused the door to be a danger to anyone using the microwave the unit was not abused unless opening the door and closing it is abuse. anyway, they charge $65. for a 3-year extension on their warranty which by the way is the home depot.
which I always thought was a reputable company. then when you call to have it repaired they have an escape clause so they do not have to repair it. Which to me the problem is all over a poor design. so I recommend do not buy a Samsung microwave and do not take out the extended warranty. how can you fight such large companies like home depot and Samsung?

Do not give up on Samsung. I bought one of their sorry refrigerators about 6 years ago. It lasted about nine months with repeated service calls. They finally gave me a new fridge. The new one lasted about six months before it quit.
I went back and forth with them for a month or two and they finally gave me my money back and told me to just dispose of the fridge altogether. If you hound them long enough, they will give up! Good luck with them.
