Choice Home Warranty Denied claim caused contract they hired and sent out. Edison New Jersey
This is in regards to a home warranty. My A/C went out. They sent a tech to repair. He replaced the circuit board. At same time it developed an issue with the blower as he performed his task. The company said they do not cover the work or negligence of the contractors they send out. I have since found they have 1000's of complaints and have loss multiple lawsuits in multiple states for their business practices. I do not believe the problem lies with the tech. Choice finds these contractors, uses their vetting process and sends them to the consumers homes to perform work. It is in their willful negligence in how they handle the hiring and the performance of their contractors. When I brought this up they offered a partial payment which was not satisfactory. It is almost impossible to go to a higher level to voice concerns at this company. They promise to take these concerns away from the home owner and give a peace of mind. They also quote they only cover normal wear and tear on covered items. They determine what that is with no proof that it not normal wear and tear. I have paid for their service for over 5 years in good faith and feel I have been taken advantage of.
