I would like to make a compliant on Bank of America here in Maine formally Fleet bank. I have a checking and savings accounts with this bank and deposited a 3rd party check into my savings account for $2500.00 . I asked at the window when making my deposit how long does it take for this to clear and I was told 3-4 days. I let the money sit and called to confirm it was clear and was told yes it was. I of course used the mone to pay my bills. The vary next day i was told it was not cleared and cleared did not mean cleared that it ment i could use the money but the check was not actually cleared, ?? I thought that to be very odd I had never been told this before usually clear ment clear.

after not winning that dispute I told them I would contact the person who gave me this check with an attorney to get my money and if I did not have it I would start making payments back to the Bank. this was agreeed on you would not believe how friendly they were through customer service. (after you fnally get through all the automated phone servies).

I have direct deposit once a month as I only get paid once a month. I called to make sure my deposit was there to go n and take out my rent and utilities and make a deposit into my savings as I had agreed. when i got to the bank to do this i was asked to come inside and which I talked to the branch amnager and was told he was sorry but since I owed them still $2100.00 he would have to settle it up and take my deposit. ALL OF IT AT ONE TIME!

I explained to him I had made agreements with is bank through customer service what happened there? I explianed to him I am a single parent and that was my only money and I did understand paying payments but I did not have all of that money to give him at once him at once. He did not care. I asked for the amount of the balance of my money that I had from my direct deposit and he even said I could not get that he had to wait for the direct deposit to clear?? another new one on me. I have never had a bank wait for a direct deposit to clear either.

my compliant is that the size of this bank the agreement they failed to follow and taking all of my check in one time. you would think they could uphold there agreement. I was more than willing to pay the depot I owed as I agreeed just now bank of this size has he has given me the customer the very small banking customer my landlord can leagally give me an evition notice, my electric and phone will be past due until my next check comes in a month. I am appolled that are country has come to be so greedy as to not care about a customer.

I also have a problem with bank of America. My story is found here by searching. Bank of America and add $29,915.63 and you can read my story. I did have a reporter contact me from a very large Seattle news paper( PI ) and do a story. Today there is also a poll on if I should be reimbursed for check fraud and people think I should. In question now is there own bank account safety at bank of america. That cant even keep hundred's of thousands of customers information safe. Also will this bank damage itself so bad it wont recover.. The jury is still out but that is what is a stake as it screws more and more customers. Have a nice day KEN LEWIS, (CEO BoA) Hope your policies and greed justify back stabbing your good customers ??? yesterdays story: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/opinion/228442_banked.asp Todays story:http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/opinion/228442_banked.asp

BOA has become too big for their britches. This kind of malicious treatment is rampant all across the nation. They have become money hungry, incompetent morons. They lost a $10,000 CASH deposit I made to my checking account!! That I got it back isn't the point; That this kind of error could happen is! They also neglected to charge a credit card payment I made to my checking account. I fought with them for two months about it, and they assured me over and over that the payment posted to my credit card ( a BOA Visa)and my payment was posted on my checking account. Finally, and out of the blue, they reversed the charge to my credit card, charged fees that put it over the limit, and DOUBLE DEBITED my checking account, and totally screwed everything up. And I am still paying for all of this. All of the over limit fees and other stupid fees kept building up, and of course it's all the customers' fault. Screw BOA! Run like hell if they approach you to open up an account. If you know what's good for you, CHANGE BANKS!
