Auto Owners Insurance Does not follow thru with their promise of "No Problem" Claim Response Pensacola Florida
On 10 April my family was awaken to water on the floor of our recently purchased NEW home, Since it was just built we were still under the builders warrenty and called for assistance. Everyone that arrived was helpful and we found that the leak was in the concrete slab foundation(A pipe was ruptured when preping/Pouring of concrete, concrete then set and acted as a band-aid till water found its way to surface).
After leak was found/repaired the drying out of house was started and completed by Pro-Clean who did a fantastic job, during that time with help from the builder we were informed auto owners insurance Insured the company that laid the concrete slab. days passed without a call back fom auto owners till the lawyer from the builder called them and an adjuster(Scott Dreke) called to schedule a visit to house. Meet Mr. Dreke at house and did a (Quick)walk thru with a representive from cleaning company and repeated what happen.
Informed us he would file his report and get back with us soon. A week passed without a word from Mr. Dreke and finally a call after we talked to builders lawyer again. This time Mr. Dreke informed us that our claim was ongoing and was slowed because they were trying to get in touch with the policy holder, ask him if they insured the company that did the damage why do my wife and I have to wait for them to contact the insured. His answer was that was the process.
Didnt hear from Mr. dreke for another 2 weeks when I called Auto Owners and woman on phone pulled up my claim number and said he would call me back. Scott Dreke called back about two hours later to tell me that the are refusing to cover claim because even though they insured company that poured the concrete when they poured the concrete, they dont insure them now and its out of their hands. Gave this company all the time and space to do the right thing even after my wife saw this site and said they would try to weasle out of covering the work they insured. NEVER, NEVER trust this company. (My words to everyone I meet)
