Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had an att prepaid plan for 10-15 years. On April 23, 2022 att took my prepaid payment via autopay as usual. Then, on May 4, 2022 they disconnected my phone. They claimed my phone was 3G and didn't have HD voice. Wrong! It's 4G and has HD voice and only 7 months old. In order to keep my phone number - which I have had for 20+ years - I was forced to buy a "compatible" device and pay an additional $8+taxes to re-activate.

In the meantime, just to have a phone, I signed up with T-Mobile prepaid. After work, I jumped through the hoops, bought a phone, paid the $8+taxes, called customer service and activated the new phone/old number. That was evening 7-8p. The very next morning first thing my att phone was already not working again.

I called customer service using my T-Mobile phone and was told it had been suspended!! They had to re-re-activate... All in all, between being on the phone with customer service and going to multiple stores, I spent a full day dealing with this crap. Not to mention the stress. Their customer service led me to believe that I may have already lost my phone number. HORRIBLE experience!!!!

As soon as I could I switched my old number to T-Mobile. Now I called att for a refund of the $ I prepaid. They say they cannot find my account. Wow! This is how they treat a 10+ year customer. I just want my money back. It seems fraudulent of them to keep it. When I was in the store there were others in there dealing with the same thing. Att should not get away with this.
