The AT&T Towneast store manager Mesquite, Texas had a discussion with me.,  My $74/month service payment would be reduced to $72/month and I would be given a new working modem.  I would keep mu phone number.  There would be no charge.  I was to make sure the equipment service fixed all so I could use my iPhone with the new equipment.  I had no idea AT&T was going to string cables from my east Peninsula Way Roadway to the north side of my house.  I thought they were going to setup a modem that would work and the quoted monthly paymet would be reduced with the upgrade.  They set up an appointment for February 13,2023.  Two employees came out here,.  The lady worked with my sims card to get it released from T- mobile.  It was put several times into her AT&T phone.  This occurred while she spoke to her supervisor.

The other AT&T personnel was outside supposedly setting up equipment.  Little did I know he was not using AT&T cables from the alley. These older cables were strung on the top of my cedar fence and were not burried as per protocol.  The installer strung cables from my east front roadway to the north side of mu house cable box area.,  I have photos of the entire area.  They partially buried the cables from the road to fence but left cables above ground behind fence to cable box.  A section of my cedar fence was knocked down.  The cable from the alley protrudes about 24 inches out of the fence,. This cable was never buried by AT&T.  It hangs off the top of my fence line. The cables round mu west window were cut and left hanging in the air. This is where the modem cables were to enter.  Quite a mess.  

They said mu monthly payment would be $55.  After one day my internet was interrupted (February 14th, 2023). The modem never really worked even for one day.  They were to transfer my T-Moble service to AT&T. My phone was paid for.  T-Moble account went from $70 to $55/month after paying off phone.  I paid faithfully both companies for years.  I received a letter a couple of days after the instillation dated February 12th, 2023 stating I would have to give AT&T my debit card as my credit supposedly was not good enough.  This letter was never mentioned to me by the two employees.  No credit discussion was ever brought to my attention on February 13th, 2023 the day of instillationn.  I have received invoices for $165 then $175 and now $300.  There was to be no charge for any of this upgrade.  So my previous credit is axed by this company.  Why?  I paid faithfully for all service.  Cables are sen scattered everywhere from AT&T.  The cable box is in disarray.  Cables are swinging in the air uifrom my west window. 

I really feel I have been a victim of elder abuse by AT&T..  I hope others will come forward.  This disrespect to a homeowner has to stop.  Others have suffered at the risk of allowing companies such as AT&T total control of their personal account.  A very bad situation for the consumer.
