Event organizers have failed to inform the students of parking costs to these events .
We do NOT validate parking here. Any alleged " validations " are actually discount cards. Also those who did manage to pay would pretend to not know about our "NO RE-ENTRY" policy. If you re-enter , we will charge you again (That is just company policy) . There are online reservation discounts where you can pre-pay but you need to show us printed copies of your proof of payment AND a working discount card .
Otherwise, we will charge full price for parking which could be as expensive as $50 per day. The signs are there at the entrance if you just took the time to read them . They had every option to have students park at alternate locations (which are much more affordable) so they could take the free airport shuttle to the 4 star hotel in advance ; but they chose to fool these students into parking here with a empty bank account where they would proceed to execute multiple methods of payment evasions instead . In either case, our airport shuttles have a limited capacity which prioritizes airline employees. It is not our job to relieve traffic congestion you have caused.
I am not sure if the event organizers are humiliating students like this on purpose ; but students are taking it out on the hotel staff. This is unacceptable. In the future, we will be forced to increase parking costs if this happens again .
On a unrelated note, we are also recently getting complaints about sexual harassment and bartering . Please do not touch hotel employees without permission . Please do not offer products and/or services as a alternative means of payment . This is a professional world class venue.

Thank you for asking about our parking policy.
As far as I can tell, we have resolved this parking price dispute with this ocean front four star resort hotel located at 1590 Harbor Island Drive , San Diego California 92101 .

I hope that Students now know that full price for parking is $50 for Valet and $41 for self parking and they need those discount validation tickets in order to process their payment at the discounted rate for the days of the event.
Students know that they are supposed to use the $41.00 blue self parking ticket they received at the blue beam parking gate by pushing it into the exiting card booth kiosk with the card "mag-strip barcode" facing the sky to the top right .
Students know that they are supposed to use the $12.00 green self parking discount validation ticket they received from the front desk event organizer by pushing it into the card booth kiosk with the card "mag-strip barcode" facing the sky to the top right ONLY AFTER pushing in the blue parking ticket first .
Students know that they are supposed to use the -$50.00 red self parking discount validation ticket they received from the front desk event organizer by pushing it into the card booth kiosk with the card "mag-strip barcode" facing the sky to the top right .
Students know that they need to push their payment card into the same slot by pushing it into the card booth kiosk with the card "mag-strip barcode" facing the sky to the top right .
Students know that they need to patiently wait for it to process the payment and give them back their card.
They know that they need to patiently wait for it to spit out a receipt .
Students know that taking the receipt out of the card booth kiosk opens the gate.

If parking through the Valet, they know that they are supposed to keep and show the yellow parking ticket they received from the valet so they can pay the "$18.00" YELLOW valet parking discount for the event before valets ever bring cars to the front. Otherwise, we will ask for identification , proof of being a student for the event and we might even be forced to contact security if students refuse to prove their identity as the owner of the car who are part of this event.
Lastly, students now know that the self parking validation tickets are NOT used to discount valet parking. Any attempts to use the self-parking discount tickets for Valet parking will result in us calling security .

If the self parking kiosk booth malfunctions, then we will be forced to either request
cash , ATM debit cash or credit card as a means of payment before opening the gate.
Sometimes, we may even use a special dashboard pre-payment card.

If you would like a guaranteed parking reservation rate as a "Park and Fly" without this complicated card validation process, we recommend paying at least a few days in advance for the parking for that specific event day through these parking companies where you would proceed to show us the printed out the confirmation code sent to you by email ( DO NOT SHOW US BANK STATEMENTS, WE ONLY TAKE THE PRINTED OUT CONFIRMATION CODE AS A REFERENCE NUMBER IN ORDER TO PROVE THAT YOU ALREADY PAID ONLINE ). Any of these three websites can accept payments for that advance reservation of parking and they can give you that print out we are looking for.
