Probably one of the most unprofessional escrow companies I have ever come across. They are supposed to act in a neutral manner but interfered with the process for an estate matter and tried forcing us to take a check for the proceeds -- would have taken a month to clear.
They claimed it was office policy but they revealed to our broker that they were concerned -- a concern that is not theirs to bear. By inserting themselves into the concern, they expose themselves to personal liability, in the event the transaction fails or excess fees are incurred, such as attorney's fees to get them back on track.
Also our escrow officer suggested in an email on July 12, 2021, that she could alter a notarized document.
