I was foolish enough to attempt to order a product from an infomercial! I ordered the abslide product in early June 2000, my VISA was debited, did not receive the product, then noticed ANOTHER charge on my VISA from the same company for a similar amount. I called their toll free line as indicated on my VISA, told them I had not received anything and asked about the extra charge. They were kind enough to tell me they would re-ship my initial order and said that the additional charge was for some "pills?" that I had supposedly ordered . . . which I did not! They informed me to call back in a few days if I did not receive these pills (to return for credit) and they would consider them lost, and credit my VISA. After a few days, and I still hadn't received these "pills", I called and they said they would credit my VISA immediately. Being that I was a little leary and worried that they wouldn't do this, I watched my VISA for the next week, waiting for the credit. GUESS WHAT!! They did credit my VISA for the purchase of the pills I didn't order (76.50). . . . and NOW there is an additional charge of 143.77 on my VISA!!!! After calling VISA to ask them if they had any information on what this charge is for (I haven't got a statement yet) they gave me a toll free number to contact THAT I CAN'T CALL FROM CANADA!!!! I don't know what I'm going to do, but I am NOT going to swallow 143.70. If anyone has an idea or a solution PLEASE HELP! Thank you!
