I have stayed at this Ramada Hotel before but when I made reservations on line on 1/16/10 for a three day stay for March I discovered that my reservation was non-cancellable and pre paid. There is a box on the reservation site that says that you can save 20% if you book a non refundable reservation but there is no place to select this option. The rates for various types of rooms show up as usual and you select the type of room and the rate you desire.

A normal confirmation email comes back and on it is a requirement that you must go to the ramada web site to cancel the reservation. Down lower on the page is a statement that "There will be no credit or refund for early departures, cancellations, no shows, or changes in your reservation for any reason. Guests will not recieve and refund or credit."

My plans have changed and when I called the hotel to cancel my reservation I was told that this was a non refundable and non cancellable reservation and that I could call the 800 number and see what they could do for me.

The 800 Ramada reservation lady told me that when you use the internet to make a reservation it is non refundable. I was told to call the hotel.

This is ridiculous. The Ramada at BWI Airport is a business hotel and everyone makes reservations on the internet nowadays. I will contact a manager there tomorrow to see if I can get a refund and obviously I won't be using Ramada in the future.

DO NOT USE THE INTERNET TO MAKE A RAMADA RESERVATION. CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY OR THE 800 NUMBER!

I gave the impression that I discovered that this was a non-refundable reservation when I made it. It was not until I tried to cancel it that I found this out. I didn't notice the word "cancellations" on the second page of the confirmation email.

This hotel is very good and reasonably priced for the Baltimore area but needs to give people the option for a cancellable or non-cancellable reservation if they use the Internet to book a room.
