RIP OFF BAHAMA CRUISE: RAMADA INN, FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA

10/3/2009

IN April of 2008, my family and I were on a vacation, visiting with relatives in Alabama. On the day in question, my relatives were all at work. I answered the telephone as I and my family were the only ones in the apartment that morning. The person on the other line immediately pitched for a "free" Bahama Cruise in Ft. Lauderdale. My sister in law and I, attenteding college full time were looking at taking a vacation as a treat to ourselves for our hard work and dedication.

I thought that this "free" cruise would be a great opportunity to take a much needed vacation, and as a reward for our graduation from college, we could both afford to treat ourselves. I was told that the total out of pocket cost was $99. For $99, up to four people could travel. But that two people were covered for the $99 fee. This fee was to take care of the taxes, port fees, and all incidental charges.

On that day of the phone call, I paid the $99 from my bank account. Two weeks later, I received an email, stating that I needed to contact a person by the name of Deanna Galluri regarding confimation and reservation number. Upon contacting this person, Deanna, I was told that I had to pay a total of $398 for 3 days, 2 nights in Orlando. This fee included: the Floating city; all meals/entertainment; passport, and a  Bahama Cruise. The addition money would also give us an opportunity to travel for a total of 7 consecutive days. Also included in this fee: A "BONUS" - a trip to Vegas - 3 days and 2 nights. Hotel, rental car, meals, $50 match play and double occupancy. I was given a reservation # of BZ032109-004 EHZ and the manager's code # of BZ2222.

It is now over a year later; I have not received any call backs, information or my money for this scam. I would appreciate any help that I can get from anyone who has legal knowledge or who know how to preceed in getting my money back. I have notified my bank, and to date, I have no information regarding the automatic withdrawals that this company has taken from my account. We were told that we had 18 months to decide when we would like to travel and had up unitl December 24 - January 4, 2010 to make this decision as to when we wanted to travel to our destinations.

SCAMMED!!!
