Gateway computers & Electronics not giving me the correct extended warranty time & they also included manufacturers warranty with it Ripoff North Souix City South Dakota
Back in March 2003 I purchased a digital camera and a three year extended warranty. Well to find out when I needed to use this service, they had told me that the extened warranty ended in March of 2006. Which should be incorrect!! My certificate of coverage states that my statndard coverage begins after the manufactuers warranty has ended, which would have been in March of 2004,I battled with them for the longest time about that. Then I spoke to a lady named Earlyn located in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, she asked me to fax the coverage page to her which I did, and to DSR which I did, and she saw what it read and that she would change the date to March of 2007 and that DSR would contact me the next day!! Which they did not!!! So i spent another week trying to find her,no one knew of her,then finally someone found her one the directory and e-mailed her to get in contact with me NEVER HAPPENED!!! So i called again and i was told that it will not be changed (the extended warranty) and what a rude person she was when she told me this. So i called the following day and some guy told me that corparate told him to take care of it. He explained to me that what I paid for was the manufacturers warranty (which comes with the product free for one year) and then 2 years of the extended warranty and qouted to me that that was my 3 year exteded warranty. And that is wrong I purchased a 3 year extended warranty not included with the one year manufacturers warranty that comes when you purchase an item. Now I can't get my $1000.00 camera fixed because they take your money and don't produce the extended warranty that you purchased!!!
