My daughter was geographically stranded. She was also VERY upset at the time AND emotional. I was in Louisville. She was in Indy. I paid for her room OVER THE PHONE. So, I was not there at the Knight's Inn. Jennifer called back and said the charge was declined. I thought that was impossible considering my available credit. Yet everything is subject to error, especially electronics. What else was I suppose to do with a stranded family member out of town? So I believed Jennifer and gave her the Discover Card number. And they charged and charged that room over and over claiming the charges NEVER went through. But, I have receipts. Knights Inn SETTLED through the Attorney Generals Office but I have YET TO RECEIVE THE CHECK! Of course they blamed everything on the fact that they "Had to use multble credit cards" and that my daughter was a "basket case." That is still no justification for CREDIT CARD THEFT! A subject they NEVER addressed! Carl came up with one excuse after another and tried to make himself out to be some sort of hero. Jennifer no longer works there for some reason. Hmmmmm. Can someone explain to me how they got a charge to go through FOR The SAME room OVER a month Later AFTER the checkout date? Well they did. The credit card accounts are closed. They will not steal from this consumer again. Hey Carl Where is the settlement check?

How can that be? All Knights Inn's use the same system and it will only authorize one payment at a time. In order to do that, they would have had to authorize, then post, authorize then post, etc...and you should have seen that on the print out?? Something else is going on, and I would report my card lost/stolen, dispute the charges, cuz as long as their is an active dispute, the CC company will not charge you finance or interest charges. Eventually the CC company will just debit the amount from their bank account. Also, since enough time has passed, you need to think about criminal charges.
