I am a student preparing to graduate after two years and 18 classes with UoP. It takes a self-starter and a lot of self discipline to be a sucessful online student, because the classes are accelerated. You have five weeks to learn what is typically covered over a whole semester at at land based school. Those who have several years of work experience and previous college experience are the typical UoP Online students. UoP leverages past and current work experience to design class curriculums. UoP does not have instructors, they have "Faciltiators" who guide the class discussions, grade the homework and answer questions about the course. You are expected to learn the material yourself through text, research, and online "labs" called NetG. The reading assignments are extensive, you typically have at least four to eight papers to write each class plus other assignments. But the rewards of having the flexibility of an online college is invaluable to most. The cost is pretty high, $434 per credit, but I still recommend UoP Online to any working adult who needs to finish their degree.
