Thailand is notorious for corruption and bribery. From the corrupt Royal Family and the King Bhumibol Adulyadej whose consorting with Thailand's notorious corrupt and feared generals, the corruption and bribery seeps downwards infecting the entire nation.
The courts of Thailand and the judges are equally corrupt and can be bought for any purpose giving criminals both Thai and from Europe the upper edge. The range of shady characters who infect Thai society is extraordinary but the 'colorful' characters who flock to Thailand where local police can be purchased at minimal rates makes a life of crime an attractive prospect.
One such character is the American 'lawyer' Drew Noyes who runs One Stop Legal Services in Pattaya, Thailand. Be very wary and always check my website for updates on this rogue (and others) who has invegilaed his way into associations in Pattaya where police who can be easily bought and paid off to cease investigating Noyes' practices which mainly involve fleecing innocent retirees who seek out a cheaper living in frieb=ndly Thailand. Noyes uses Thailand's notorious libel laws liberally to silence critics. He has lost every case against me which considering the vast corruption that seeps down through the Thai courts, is exceptional.
None of this will change until the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his son takes the reins. Although corruption is endemic in the Thai Royal Family it's hoped a change of the Monarch may bring temporary relief. While I agree with the sentiments of this report. The owner Drew Noyes has since been convicted of extortion and fled Thailand while on bail and appealing a jail sentence for extortion I am certainly not the author of the original complaints and would not have counched the complaint making comments insulting to the monarchy of Thailand,
