I have recently moved to the US, and needed to find a musicians Directory of San Francisco. I searched the Web and found what I thought was a one-stop-shop. They claimed to have all the addresses of bookers, record companies etc. in one book for $65. I had bought the Los Angeles Music Industry Directory and it was brilliant and was delivered to me within a few days. I thought this would be a similar deal. How wrong I was.
Unable to order from this company on the Web I called them up. A bloke on the phone gave me the address and off went the cheque. Two weeks later still no book. I have called them twice since, leaving polite but pissed off messages all to no avail. They haven't returned my calls and it seems obvious to me that the whole thing was a scam that muggins fell for. Hey,it's not the principal it's the money.
