Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I, like the person above, went to the seminar hosted by Xtremetalent.biz, in a Doubletree hotel in the Northeast, but everything else about her post is exactly the same. The ponytailed man was very convincing, and he spent a large amount of time outlining the modeling business in general, then went on to say that they would not be calling everyong in the room. He indicated that it would be a local market, not like New York, which was understandable. Again, you had to leave a photo of yourself and hope that they called you to come back the next day.I left a photo of my daughter but should note that the better part of half the people there really had no business being there, trying to be a model (not being rude, just realistic).

Of course, we got a call and I had to leave my $219 deposit the next day. Then my daughter had to attend a mandatory seminar and they would schedule *free* photo shoot so they could post your website on theirs, so (supposedly) their clients could view online portfolios and either contact you, or you could apply to jobs posted on the website.

I should mention here, because I know it will be brought up that the check for my initial deposit of $219 bounced (whoops) so when I went to the photo shoot, I brought a money order for the full $438. My 8 year old daughter did the photo shoot and had a blast. We received the CD with the pictures, which turned out great. Of course, you can only log into the website and apply for jobs if you sign up for the $20 per month fee for the first year (then it's $10 per month). So I of course, sign up and begin paying $20 per month for access to the jobs in my area.

Well, let me tell you, there are no jobs for an 8 year old. Most (as in 99%) of the postings in the last 6 months are for adults for jobs such as liquor promos in bars, etc. Nothing for an 8 year old, despite the ponytailed man stating that JC Penney is one of their clients. I understand there are no guarantees that once you sign up you are going to get jobs, but there aren't even any appropriate jobs for my daugher to apply to!

So I went to log in and check for jobs again yesterday, and lo and behold, my login info doesn't work. I click the link to email me my password, and it states that the email was sent, but boo h*o, I never got it. So then send an email requesting a reply with why my login doesn't work. Again, no reply in the 24 hours since I sent the email. So I call and speak to a young woman who also cannot pull up my daughter's info. She suggests I email the webmaster....he's a great guy, he'll get right back to you......

Well, I can say that I used the photos to go to another modeling agency that works with children, and as soon as I joined them, I got a call for an audition for a commercial for Giant Food Markets.

However, I really don't expect much in the way of this website. I would have been better off to hire a photographer on my own and spent half the money. Factoring in the $438 for the....whatever, plus $20 per month for a year totals $678. Essentially, the only solid thing this scam nets you is a CD of digital photographs.
