RebateSystems denied my rebate request for an X2Gen monitor based on the return envelope being missing and told me that there is no way for me to send one unless I can email it. So basically I get screwed out of $99 because of an envelope and stamp.

As you know we have Rebate Systems, Inc. processing our rebates.

Unfortunately we do not have your submission. We have to rely on them to provide us with accurate information. Rebate Systems allows customers to appeal their decision, as you may have.

We have found Rebate Systems to be reliable in the past.

They should have your original submission. Your rebate status is out of our hands. I do not know what Ecost may do for you but you might want to try them.

I called Ecost and was told there is absolutely nothing they can do and that rebates are the responsibility of X2Gen.

Rebates systems claims they can only do what X2Gen tells them. And X2Gen as you see above falls back on the Rebate systems excuse. Around and around you go but get no where.

Even more interesting is that Both Rebatesystems and X2Gen mailing addresses are Wood Dale, IL 60191

Ecost credited my credit card with the rebate amount due me from X2GEN & Rebatesystems. I am please with Ecost doing the right thing and will most likely purchase products from them in the future. However, X2GEN and Rebatesystems I have no faith in due to their arrogance and unwillingness to take any responsibility. In the future I will be much more hesitant to purchase products with mail in rebates.

Ecost reconsiders

Ecost has reconsidered my rebate request after I had filed a claim with BBB. They say I will receive a check for the full amount of the rebate in 2-3 weeks. Lets see what happens.
