I wanted to help other american citizens in regards to World Ventures. I was approached by a fellow veteran in regards to this company. Upon hearing the sales pitch I informed her I was not interested in selling anything, but I would sign up for this companies service under her name so she can get the referall credit needed since she was treating the company as a business. I heard about this organization before and since I travel quite allot I genuinely wanted to see what services were being offered in regards to packages and airline tickets. I paid a large upfront fee of $400 because I do not like monthly payments. Their website upon sign up states that you can pay a monthly fee of $99 or sign up with a upfront amount which I did. I clarified this with my rep and we were both on the same accord. I received my member info and signed into their google play store app to see their packages. Immediately I knew their so called service would be of no value to me. They are utilizing the same platform as cheap tickets/ expedia / groupon etc. Meaning they have packages and you can purchase airfare tickets and such for your travel needs. I immediately noticed 90% of their packages did not include airfare and were extremely overpriced. I can book the same trip myself for much less using competitive travel services like cheaptickets/ groupon getaways etc, who do not charge a large upfront fee or monthly charge to use their services. So I said to myself okay no problem I helped a friend and now I know for sure this company is of no use for me. I took it as a small loss and moved on, no big deal. I just emailed their support staff and requested my account be closed permanently. A month later I received a $100 monthly charge on my credit card so I immediately disputed the charge with my bank and contacted the company by email to dispute the issue. This company does not have any reps by phone, they are obviously registered overseas and they take several days to respond back to one email! So I sent several emails and requested a refund etc. Long story short no refund and no formal communication by this company. I filed a complaint with the BBB in regards to my issue and I am filing here to let americans know that this company is not ethical and it definetly seems to be a scam to me. There are no real services being offered to justify their excessive fees and monthly charges and once again my package was simply travel I was not interested in selling anything for this business. There are so many apps for booking airfare/hotels/cruises/ etc that do not charge upfront or monthly fees and they are very competitive with their pricing. World Ventures is trying to make their services seem exclusive which it is not, this is just a copycat company that is playing on the ignorance of people who do not travel often. I am waiting to see if my card gets billed again for another monthly fee and if it does I have already notified this company that I would contact my attorney if needed.

Normally, I don't waste my time correcting misinformation on the internet, but some of it goes too far.  This is one.

Nowhere in the World Ventures marketing materials does it say that one has the option of paying $400 upfront OR $99 a month. I repeat, nowhere.  If Harvey can provide this information, I'll send $100 to his favorite charity in his name.  I'm not worried.  It's not there.

This is a travel club.  Marketing materials and the website clearly say there is an upfront AND monthly membership cost.  Every dollar in membership gets returned to apply to travel.

If the trips are truly overpriced, then Harvey should jump at membership because World Ventures will pay for the trip if he can prove the same trip at a lower price.  Does Expedia/CheapTickets, etc. do that, Harvey?

The company website shows the building at 5100 Tennyson Parkway in Plano, Texas, not "overseas" as Harvey alledged.  At the bottom of Harvey's DreamTrips website, he'll see the phone number:  +1 972-805-5200.  World Ventures is an international business, but is headquartered in the US, in Texas.  Not sure why this was so difficult.

Harvey spewed alot of allegations and charges.  The mistakes he made, as documented above, might explain why he had such difficulties.

No corporation is perfect.  Because corporations are run by people.  People make mistakes, right?
