I was lured in by misrepresentation, false and misleading advertising. The company promises so much in their ads and by way of their recruiter. My recruiter was Wes Smith. They utilize the "warm and fuzzy" approach to lure you in. They pretend to be family and that they will take care of you. I was told it was a "sure thing".

There is no such thing as a "recession proof" business. The company did not provide me with customers as promised. The training was full of holes. The leads were poor and I was given incorrect information on how to set up my business which cost me additional money to correct. I was told they would work with me until I recouped my initial investment, this did not happen.

I cited 9 breaches between what I was told would happen and what actually happened. I asked for a full refund. This was in November 2002.

Shortly thereafter I received a phone call from Harry Fisher. He identified himself as a company official. He reminded me that the company did not have to honor anything in the ads nor what the recruiter said because it wasn't in the contract that I signed. He told me it would be costly for me to sue and that it would come down to "hearsay". He said, "What do you have? You got nothing!" That was a direct quote from this company's high ranking official. At least this is what Shannon told me. She is WTA's contact person. She said Harry Fisher is a VP in the company and the only one who handles these types of issues.

I reminded him that his company is responsible for what they print and for what their recruiter says because he represents them.

You see thats the SCAM. They promote ads (which they pay for) and their recruiters promise you the world. Then when it comes down to it, they don't have to honor it because the contract you sign does not reflect what is said or written in the ads. It is so set up that you don't make the connection between the two until it is to late. As Harry Fisher says, "What do you have? You got nothing!"

They pretend to be your family but I saw a nasty vicious side of Harry Fisher when I told him his company, WTA, was and should be held responsible.

Dear Bob, As my title suggested, I have taken your point. For myself, I will still continue to doubt weather Millicent got a refund or weather or not you are dealing with reality. Anyone who has a grip with what is really going on knows that the fine people that run this site have seen my real address and phone number. Saying that, anyone with any intelligence, would know that I have nothing to do with WTA other than a sincere interest in seeing them shut down. Your comments about my agenda, credability and weather or not I am an agent of WTA are completely assinine and border on paranoia. Yes, to err is human. Also to committ stupidity shows not only your "Human" side but that maybe you should be trying to track down the "real culprits", WTA, instead of, as you say, sparring with me. ( I land only knockout shots ) As far as my time goes. I am not the one who needs the time to clean up idiot mistakes that I have made. Like I said in the past. Best look before you leap. Hey Joe, attacking me personally in this forum does not lend you any creditabilty. What is your agenda? Are you an agent of the company? Did my comments hit a "soft spot"? I've noticed that you spent an aweful lot of time in this forum. What's with that? The purpose of this forum is to make the public aware of immoral business people who take advantage of those trying to better themselves! Sure, I made a mistake, I'm sure you have made plenty of them too! We are all entitled to our mistakes, "to err is human". I suggest that you find something better to do with your time. I will not waste anymore of my time sparring with you in this forum.

What Can I Sell You "Bob"?

Dear Bob, From your respose of jumping on Millicents bandwagon, I can certainly see why you were taken advantage of in the first place. I do wish you the best of luck in getting back your money from WTA. I think it is terrible that WTA would take advantage of those not quite all there enough to look before they leap. I guess that is why we have a rip-off report in the first place. I would suggest to you Bob, first don't be so quite quick to believe all that you hear and see so quickly. Second, like myself, you should take advantage of the internet and websites such as the rip-off report before you go and lay down thousands of dollars. I got into this WTA concern because I was contacted by them (WTA) and then found out that they were not all that they claimed and there were other companies out there selling the same deal for about $39.99. I submit to you Bob, that instead of trying to see how witty you can be by sending egghead responses to my sincere doubt to millicent, you Bob, should be putting your energy into finding out how to get you refund from WTA and figuring out just what is going on in the business (real) world. I have no reason to doubt the validity of Millicent's earlier comments. I too, am a current "affiliate" (victim) of WTA and have also experienced frustration with their (lack of) services. I honestly believe that I have been ripped-off too! I do not believe that my investment in WTA was a good value. I have also requested a refund from WTA and was told "that will never happen". Well, I am not giving up on my request until I recieve a full refund. Hopefully, Millicent did recieve a full refund from WTA. As a consumer, she and all others are entitled to a refund when companies do not deliver on their promises. As for her latest statement, I'm sure she had to post it as part of an agreement. It's a shame that companies force people to air their grievances in a public forum rather than simply give them a refund and send them on their merry way. I am looking into following Millicent's lead and putting up my own website to tell my story too. If WTA is smart, they will work with me to resolve my issue as well. I would much rather settle my differences with WTA in a private way, rather than have to resort to public postings of the truth! "A word to the wise ought to be sufficient!"

Dear Millicent, I have read your latest posting stating that everthing was resolved with WTA. If true, and I mean your whole story, that is great. It would seem to me that you would want to help others hear at this site who were just as unhappy with WTA as you seemed to be. So why did you not post how you resolved your dispute with WTA. Also, I read all that you posted to this site and there is another posting under your name asking readers to go to another website. No accusations here but I hope your posting were not just a scheme to get hits to your site. Even though I was not ripped by WTA, I still want those that were to get justice and WTA's fraudulent ways stopped. I can only hope that you are trying for the same. So let everyone in on how you resolved with WTA. Otherwise I believe your postings amount to wasted space. Joseph Rasel

My criticism of World Traders Association, was a result of my own frustrations because I was not happy with what I received for my money. Since that time, WTA and myself have resolved all differences. We have both come to the mutual conclusion that this business opportunity was not right for me. If it were in my power, my criticisms would be removed entirely from this forum. Millicent
