Thank You Steve for the info it is nice to have a person like you to help people out the next time someone I run into has this problem I will be sure to pass on the info, The sad thing is is that we did hire a lawyer for this but was a sorry one I leave it at that, it was just hard to find a lawyer down here in Dallas that would even take the case once we told them who they were the lawyers we talked to always said WeLL I would like to help you but Wolpof And Abramson have all the money in the world and own the judges and arbitration board and would say good luck. I will always keep this in mind the next time I know some one with this problem. Again Thanks Alot for you time.

You should have done some homework when you got served. It would have saved you alot of money. You had an affirmitive defense to that lawsuit, and could have gotten it dismissed. The Statute Of Limitations on credit card debt in TX is 4 years from date of default. However, you must assert this defense for yourself, as the court will not do it for you. You paid $8,000 you did not need to pay. you could have given $1000 to a good lawyer instead, and then once you beat them, you could have sued them for your damages for the frivolous lawsuit.
