This company somehow got my Visa checkcard number and took two payments of $7.00 out. I know I never gave them my information, because number one I have never heard of the company and number two the first transaction was supposed to take place on my anniversary and neither me nor my husband were anywhere near a computer or even home that day.

This screwed my checking account up. I received an overdraft fee to cover each debit(two $30.00 fees). Plus, this caused other checks and debits to bounce. This has costed me almost $500.00. It's a major scam!

this may have put you at risk for second and third party merchant transfer-exchanges

#2Consumer Suggestion

If you purchased something online, this may have put you at risk for second and third party merchant transfer-exchanges. For example, if you ordered flowers on line, from 1-800-FLOWERS site, they hand over your personal information to other merchants. This occurs through an aggreement between the companies. It's a "tit-for-tat" process. There's probably some commision collected by 1-800-FLOWERS. Classmate.com is another site, where if you subscribe and decide to become a member, literally during the actual process of subscribing all information is transfered to Merchant Two. This process occurs during your html process, when you are accessing a payment related method file. It's all automated. You may want to review the other reports here from consumers who share your situation. Access this information through category: Credit Card Processing (ACH) Companies You need to contact www.travelvaluesplus.com to have your name removed from their subscription program. The other site is www.reservationrewards.com To inquire further, you can access the www.webloyalty.com, just to see a membership list of other 2nd and 3rd party merchants. Not all are posted, but this can give you an idea on how the process works. You can email [email protected] or call 415-346-5950 or 203-846-3300 extension 400, if you would like to share your opinion and experience with them as a network/service site for these merchants. Webloyalty.com is a web site owners "e-commerce customer relationship partner" This is according to them in article: http://www.webloyalty.com/membership_programs.asp, as of 6-20-03, page 1 of 2. The 1-800 "Flower People" think they "are enhancing and customizing you online shipping experience". If you did not purchase anything online or become a new member to some site, I am mystified and wonder how they got your information. Either way for peace of mind and safety, I would recommend changing all checking, credit card, debit card accounts. Then see if they find you again. Really I would treat it like THEFT, and even get a new Driver's License. The new crises law enforcement is dealing with is: "Identity Theft". If you visit www.consumer.gov they have sections devoted to this crime. And obviously you would want to notify the proper authorities, like your General Attorney W. A. Drew Edmondson, State Capital, Rm 112, 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK, 73105, Phone: 405-521-3921 or http://www.oag.state.ok.us Hope this helps.
