Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We recently had a home inspection done by a gentleman by the name of Jim DAINTY the man did not know what he was doing. He put down things on the home inspection like a bees nest that needed to be fixed before selling but yet he failed to put down a staircase that was collapsing and a well that was taken apart and left on the ground for everybody to see. This a man’s an idiot to say the very least and is not trained properly. He found things wrong that were in fact up to code in the state of Tennessee. I don’t know where this man is from perhaps California but in Tennessee things are done differently and he should know that if he’s a home inspector in Tennessee.

When he came in and Inspected in the attic he stepped off the rafter onto the sheet rock and cracked a 12 foot long crack on my ceiling then I tried to get a hold of him he wouldn’t answer my calls or my letters when I finally got a hold of him he tried to weasel out of owing me the money for the damage he did. this man in my opinion is a fraud, he is not a home inspector he does not know what he’s doing and is causeing damage to property and you will not collect from him or his and so-called insurance.

my advice is to hire a real licensed professional insured home inspector and stay away from this one man band who obviously got his training from a cracker jack box, If any at all.

The above review(s) deserve a response to clarify some facts.  This response is from Jim Dainty, WIN Home Inspection, Cookeville.

It is important to note:  the gentleman posting the reviews was never my client.  This complaint was my first-ever interaction with him.  He is the former owner of a home I inspected this fall. My client was the person who went on to purchase the home e references.

Prior to this posting the situation was fully vetted, including conversation with the buyer and the buyer's realtor as well as working with a third-party to investigate the gentleman's claims.  All are satisfied that I am clear of accusations made by thuis person.  The seller( author of review) is now threatening to deface me on line if I do not compensate hom.

I have been a home inspector for 18 yers, having performed over 7000 inspections and I standby my long history of satisfied customers.

Thank you.
