I am now having issues with Wells Fargo Dealer Services. My load due date is on the 19th of every month and I DO have a 10 day grace period. Today on the 5th day of the grace period Wells Fargo Dealer Services called me and my wife every hour until I answered the phone to let us know rudely that we are behind on our car load. I stated there is a 10 day grace period and you will have the payment before the end of the period. My respose was not good enough for the collections representative. The Collections Rep wanted payment right now. What doesn't this bank understand about grace periods? I have never heard of a bank calling in the Collections department for harrassing phone calls before a grace period ends. I wish I had never agreed to a loan with Wells Fargo.

Check your contract to make sure there is a grace period. I find it difficult to believe that WF has one in their auto loan contracts as they are a rebuilder type/subprime lender.
If in fact they do have one, then they still have the right to call you because you are late. The grace period applies to the fee's that you pay for a late payment only. If you pay in the grace period, you are paying late, but the late fee will not be charged until you pay beyond the grace period. It does not stop the calls for collections because in fact you have not paid by the due date. It is not the bank that doesn't understand "grace period's"; it's you.
Since you appear to use the grace period regularly, you might want to reasses your financial situation or just put up with the calls when you pay late.
